Lenti is so around 15 km from the Hungarian- Slovenian border, so we always offer to our guests to make a trip to Lendava, the first town after the border, or to Dobrovnik.

Places of interest in Lendava and Dobrovnik:

  • The Lendava Castle is first mentioned in the records dating from 1192. However, its present-day appearance dates from the 18th century. Its premises have been managed by the institution Lendava Gallery-Museum since 1973, which collects, keeps, studies and promotes the cultural heritage of the Municipality of Lendava and Hungarians in Region Prekmurje.
  • Theatre and Concert Hall is often said to be unusual and it easily draws the attention of passers-by. However, it has to be stressed that it is the work of one of the most renowned Hungarian architects, world famous Imre Makovecz.
  • The Wine House of Cuk waiting for the guests with its tasty wines on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Tropical garden and orchid farm in Dobrovnik: Besides orchids, Ocean Orchids exhibits numerous interesting tropical and subtropical plants from all over the world in this garden. Besides viewing decorative tropical plants, visitors can see the plants such as vanilla, coffee, pepper, papaya, avocado and many others. There is a circular path leading through the garden, which enables visitors to see all plants at close-up. You can also sit in the garden, rest your senses, and enjoy the beauty of tropical nature.
  • Energy Park near Dobrovnik: Some years ago they found more than 30 bio energetic points in the forest by lake Bukovnica (Slovenian) at the edge of Dobrovnik – and these are believed to be source of healing energy from the Earth according to words of a few shamans (or with other words – of people who believe they posess special forces – can be true or not). The local legend here says that a blind man who washed his eyes with that water could since then see – and Saint Vid chapel was later build near the source, in middle of forest. Indeed, the area around this artificial lake between woods is very enjoyable. Walking there in fresh air and quietness of the forest will reduce stress anyways, so those healing stories make some sense.
